This guide presents information concerning the theory and operational limits of hand-held and walk-though metal detectors and the technology pertinent for their use in weapon and contraband detection.
Abstract
The guide includes general training instructions for metal detector operators and supervisors and information on where to obtain more detailed training. It also discusses safety topics and presents a list of present suppliers of hand-held (HH) and walk-through (WT) metal detectors.
