Abstract
In all, 23 grant projects are evaluated. These are classified into courts, juvenile court, police, youth bureaus, and statewide programs. A total of 46 percent of the projects' objectives were completely met. Court projects evaluated include the Salt Lake City court administrator and the court executives for the second, third, and fourth district trial courts. In the area of juvenile court, the second district juvenile court counsel, the juvenile court intern program, and the juvenile court microfilm projects are evaluated. Seven police project evaluations are summarized including the St. George/Bloomington Contract for Law Enforcement, the police evaluation and professionalization project, and the St. George/Hurricane dispatch contract. Youth services projects include the Uintah Basin Youth Services Program, the Roosevelt youth officer, the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Specialized Youth Unit, the Pleasant View Youth Bureau, and family services group home coordinator. Five statewide programs are evaluated: the Division of Corrections Training Grant, the Statewide Crime Prevention Project, the District II Crime Prevention Project, dispatch training, and the southern counties legal defender.
