Abstract
A HISTORY OF THE UTAH JUVENILE COURT, A MAP OF THE JUDICIAL DISTRICTS OF UTAH, AND INFORMATION ON COURT PERSONNEL, ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS, AND JUVENILE COURT JUDGES ARE PROVIDED. NEW PROGRAMS TO AID CHILDREN IN TROUBLE ARE DESCRIBED. AMONG THESE ARE JUVENILE RESTITUTION PROGRAMS, FAMILY STABILIZATION GROUPS, A WORKSHOP ON RIGHTS OF CHILDREN, AND THERAPY GROUPS. STATISTICS ARE INCLUDED ON SOURCES OF REFERRALS, MOST FREQUENT OFFENSES, TOTAL OFFENSES FOR EACH COUNTY, JUDICIAL DISPOSITIONS, TYPES OF DISPOSITIONS, AGE OF CHILDREN REFERRED, ETHNIC GROUP OF REFERRED CHILDREN, AND FAMILY CHARACTERISTICS OF CHILDREN REFERRED. A COMPARATIVE STATEMENT OF EXPENDITURES IS ALSO INCLUDED.
