This report describes the departments of the Utah State Juvenile Court and presents statistics on juvenile court referrals, delinquency offenses, recidivism, and offense severity during 1981.
Abstract
It also includes information on court staff, expenditures, commitments to the Youth Development Center, dispositions, and recent legislation. The year saw administrative changes resulting in increased coordination and communication of juvenile matters which reflected the growing juvenile crime problem. The court's judges and staff took other actions to accommodate the workload increase resulting from increases in juvenile referrals statewide. Tabular and graphic data, a map and an organizational chart, and a list of court staff are included.
