Crime scene preservation is considered as it relates to victim assistance. Also covered are victim services and related law and its application. The importance of explaining court processes to victims and the role and responsibility of the prosecutor toward the victim also are covered. A module on stress management familiarizes officers with stress factors and techniques for alleviating the stress inherent in work with victims.
