This resource guide and workbook presents information for drafting new or amended tribal laws on crimes against children.
Abstract
This guide was developed by the Tribal Law & Policy Institute to provide assistance to tribes and tribal organizations that wish to develop and/or update their laws to address victimization of tribal children. The guide provides committees responsible for drafting laws with an overview of comparative Federal, State, and tribal statutory provisions for drafting new or amended child protection laws. The guide also provides examples and commentary of current laws as well as exercises for committees to use when drafting new laws.
