This volume of a 3-volume series focuses on special victimological issues associated with particular victim groups.
Abstract
The first volume looks as the needs and expectations of crime victims, victim support, the victimization of businesses, minorities, the elderly, children and juvenile as victims, abuse of women, and violent crime victims. Specific attention is paid to victim interests in public prosecution, victim service programs, court assistance, dishonest trade practices, criminal fraud, and insurance fraud. The volume also examine prejudice and minority crime victims, elder abuse, victim-offender interaction in juvenile delinquency, child physical abuse, abused children and their families, violent mother-child relationships, sexual abuse prevention, sexual harassment in the workplace, battered wives, sexually assaulted women, and assault and burglary victims. The second volume primarily reports on the abuse of power and victim rights. Studies incorporated in the volume are drawn from Germany, Australia, Greece, Japan, Belgium, Israel, Botswana, Latin America, and Iran. References, footnotes, tables and figures
