Abstract
UNDER FEDERAL RULES OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURES, 'DEPOSITIONS SHALL BE TAKEN IN THE MANNER PROVIDED IN CIVIL ACTIONS'. AFTER REVIEWING THE MERITS OF A VIDEOTAPED DEPOSITION IN PRESENTING A MORE FAITHFUL PICTURE OF THE WITNESS AND AND OF VISUAL EXHIBITS THAN THE READING OF A TRANSCRIPT, THE ARTICLE DESCRIBES THE EQUIPMENT NEEDED, THE COST INVOLVED, AND THE TECHNIQUES USED.
