THIS REPORT CONSIDERS THE ROLE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE PERSONNEL AND AGENCIES IN PREVENTING AND CONTROLLING COLLECTIVE VIOLENCE IN HIGH SCHOOLS.
Abstract
THIS REPORT IS PART OF AN EFFORT DIRECTED AT PREVENTING AND CONTROLLING COLLECTIVE VIOLENCE IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, AT ALL LEVELS FROM GRADE SCHOOL TO COLLEGE, AS WELL AS PREVENTING AND CONTROLLING COLLECTIVE VIOLENCE WHICH RESULTS FROM THE ACTIVITIES OF EXTREMIST ORGANIZATIONS AND YOUTH GANGS. SUBJECTS COVERED INCLUDE HIGH SCHOOLS AS A CONCERN FOR THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; THE POLICE ROLE BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER A VIOLENT INCIDENT; AND THE TYPES OF VIOLENT INCIDENTS WHICH MAY DRAW POLICE ATTENTION.
