SENIOR CITIZENS, STATE AND LOCAL POLICE OFFICIALS, A DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT POLICY ADVISOR, A LEAA ADMINISTRATOR, AND REPRESENTATIVES OF VARIOUS SENIOR CITIZEN ASSOCIATIONS DESCRIBED THE NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE CRIMINAL VICTIMIZATION OF THE ELDERLY, CRITICIZED THE ADEQUACY OF CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS FOR THE ELDERLY, OUTLINED THE PROBLEMS FACED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, UNDERSCORED THE GROWING PROBLEM OF FEAR OF CRIME, AND RECOMMENDED INTERAGENCY COOPERATION IN FUTURE EFFORTS TO PROVIDE A SECURE LIVING ENVIRONMENT FOR THE NATION'S SENIOR ADULTS.
