Abstract
The Commission is responsible for providing administration and assistance to upgrade criminal justice personnel through training, research, and development; for administering and monitoring training for private security services business personnel, and for administering the rules regulating collection and security maintenance of criminal history record information. The nine mandated training programs supervised by the Commission are listed, and include such programs as basic and in-service training for law enforcement officers, training standards for undercover investigative officers, and basic training for jailors and custodial officers. Among the research efforts undertaken is a job task analysis study of law enforcement officers. Activities concerned with the criminal history record information are reported in terms training, expungements, purges, and audits. The commission's funding and resources are also mentioned. Tabular data are given.
