Abstract
INCLUDED ARE LEGAL LIMITS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR SIMPLE 'CONTACTS,' THE MOST MINOR OF ALL CONFRONTATIONS INITIATED BY AN OFFICER, AS WELL AS FOR 'STOPS,' ROADBLOCKS, DETENTION, AND FRISKS. THE DOCTRINES OF PROBABLE CAUSE AND REASONABLE SUSPICION ARE REVIEWED, AND EXAMPLES ARE GIVEN TO GUIDE OFFICERS.
