West Virginia's Board of Probation and Parole conducted 21 percent more parole interviews and granted 175 percent more paroles in 1980-81 than the previous year.
Abstract
Court cases appear to be declining as the Board has gained more consistency with its decisions. Statistical data also cover the types of crimes for which paroles were granted and the number of interviews held and decisions made during the year. The scope of Board activities and its duties are also described. Several tables are provided.
