GIVES OBJECTIVES, FORMAT, AND EVALUATION OF CORRECTIONAL TRAINING OFFICERS, TRAINING INSTITUTES.
Abstract
EACH OF THE CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN THE STATE WAS INSTRUCTED TO APPOINT A TRAINING OFFICER, WHO IS TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR TRAINING PERSONNEL WHO WILL SERVE AND ARE SERVING IN HIS INSTITUTION. THE REPORT DEALS WITH A TRAINING INSTITUTE ESTABLISHED TO AID TRAINING OFFICERS IN THEIR WORK. THE PURPOSES OF THE TRAINING INSTITUTE ARE STATED AS FOLLOWS - 1) EVALUATE AND MODIFY CURRICULUM AS REQUIRED TO RELATE TRAINING TO NEEDS, 2) DEVELOP LESSON PLANS, OUTLINE COURSES, AND PROPERLY UTILIZE TEACHING MACHINES AND OTHER TRAINING MECHANISMS AND METHODS, 3) EVALUATE THE CONTENT AND METHODOLOGY OF LESSON PLANS IN PARTICULAR TRAINING PROGRAMS, AND 4) TEACH TRAINING OFFICERS TO ASSIST OTHER TRAINING PERSONNEL IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF LESSON PLANS, CONTENT, AND RESOURCE INFORMATION. SAMPLES OF THE COURSE OUTLINE, PRE-TEST AND POST-TEST QUESTIONS, AND A PROGRAM EVALUATION FORM AND RESPONSES ARE INCLUDED.
