This report reflects the activities and accomplishments of the West Virginia Department of Public Safety for the period July 1, 1979 to June 30, 1980.
Abstract
Among the department's accomplishments are an inservice training program providing 40 hours of instruction for every officer including the rank of sergeant and the completion of the preliminary base for construction of a new crime laboratory facility. Activities summarized in the report include staff services such as accounting, communications, crime prevention, criminal identification, data processing, logistics and supply, personnel, traffic research and safety, and uniform crime reporting as well as field services, inspection services, and research and planning. Tabular data are given.
