Abstract
The author identifies five trends and five events that he believes will influence the civilian chronicling of police activities. In this connection, he emphasizes the need for written policy and proper training for officers. Study findings suggest that the technology will continue to evolve, as will increased scrutiny by the public, requiring crisis management strategies that will mitigate the impact of this development.
