FACTUAL STATEMENTS ON DRUGS, INTERSPERSED WITH QUESTIONS WHICH TEST COMPREHENSION.
Abstract
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF BARBITURATES ARE TAKEN IN COMBINATION WITH AMPHETAMINES? WHAT ARE THE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS OF HEROIN AND BARBITURATES? THE ANSWERS TO THESE AND MANY OTHER QUESTIONS REGARDING DRUGS CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PROGRAMMED INSTRUCTION COURSE. ANSWERS ARE INCLUDED AFTER THE QUESTIONS, BUT IT IS SUGGESTED THAT THE USER FIRST WRITE DOWN HIS OWN ANSWERS IN ORDER TO TEST HIS RETENTION. THE DISCUSSION AND QUESTIONS COVER THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF FIVE CATEGORIES OF DRUGS - NARCOTICS, STIMULANTS, DEPRESSANTS, HALLUCINOGENS, AND MARIJUANA. WITHIN EACH CATEGORY THE DEFINITION, DERIVATION, AND METHODS OF TAKING THE DRUG ARE GIVEN, AND THE EFFECTS OF EACH DRUG BY ITSELF, OR IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHERS, ARE DISCUSSED. THIS PAMPHLET WOULD BE A VALUABLE EDUCATIONAL TOOL FOR ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT DRUGS OR WHO IS INVOLVED IN TEACHING OTHERS ABOUT THEM. (SNI ABSTRACT)
