REVIEW OF PROGRAMS DEVELOPED WITH FUNDS PROVIDED BY THE CRIME CONTROL AND SAFE STREETS ACT IN WISCONSIN.
Abstract
THE WISCONSIN COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE HAS ENDEAVORED TO DEVELOP A BROADLY BASED PROGRAM IN THE UTILIZATION OF THESE FUNDS. THIS REPORT ATTEMPTS TO REVIEW THE USE OF THE FUNDS THROUGHOUT THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. PROGRAMS BEING EVALUATED DEAL WITH UPGRADING LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL, PREVENTION OF CRIME AND JUVENILE DELINQUENCY, IMPROVEMENT OF DETECTION AND APPREHENSION OF CRIMINALS, IMPROVEMENT OF PROSECUTION AND COURT ACTIVITIES, INCREASE IN EFFECTIVENESS OF CORRECTION AND REHABILITATION, REDUCTION OF ORGANIZED CRIME, PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF RIOTS AND IMPROVEMENT IN COMMUNITY RELATIONS.
