The Wisconsin Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) maintains and disseminates information and data on crime and justice system performance in the State, maintains the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) system and components of a jail information system and a juvenile detention information system, and conducts special studies on other selected justice system topics.
Abstract
This annual report provides background information on SAC as well as an outline of its organization and administration. The SAC Advisory Committee is described, and its program functions and systems detailed. Notable 1989 achievements include publication of two annual reports (Crime and Arrests and Sexual Assaults) based on UCR reports, as well as several special reports on Index Crime rates and drug arrests in Wisconsin.
