Abstract
THE FIRST PART OF THIS TEXT CONTAINS DISCUSSIONS OF THE NATURE AND CAUSES OF CRIME, THE DIFFICULTIES IN REPORTING CRIME (PARTICULARLY RAPE), AND THE PROBLEMS OF DETERRING CRIME. SPECIFIC DEVICES AND PRECAUTIONS WHICH MAY AID IN AVOIDING CRIMES ARE THEN OUTLINED. THE USE OF WEAPONS, WEAPONS SKILLS AND THE INDIVIDUAL'S RIGHT OF SELF DEFENSE ARE DISCUSSED. FINALLY, THE TEXT OUTLINES PSYCHOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES AND PHYSICAL PERSONAL DEFENSE TECHNIQUES OF COUNTERATTACK TO EMPLOY TO ESCAPE CRIMINAL ATTACKS.
