Abstract
PROGRAM FEATURES DISCUSSED INCLUDE POLICIES AND STATUTES GOVERNING ADMISSION, REGULATIONS CONCERNING WORK RELEASE CONDUCT, FINANCIAL COMPENSATION, AVAILABLE POSITIONS, AND LENGTH OF PARTICIPATION. FOLLOWING SECTIONS DESCRIBE THE MANNER IN WHICH WORK RELEASE DECISIONS ARE MADE IN THE COURTS, THE OFFICE OF CORRECTIONS, AND THE OFFICE OF PAROLES. APPENDIXES CONTAIN INFORMATION ON WORK RELEASE STATUTES, CHARACTERISTICS OF INMATE PARTICIPANTS, AND OUTSIDE ACTIVITY LEVELS. SAMPLE FORMS FROM THE OFFICES OF CORRECTIONS AND PAROLE ARE ALSO INCLUDED.
