Abstract
The text emphasizes that the ability to communicate effectively is an essential requirement for all law enforcement officers and that police officers need to be able to communicate effectively within their agency and outside the agency to members of the community they serve. The text explains the central aspects of oral and written communication for police officers and details the methods and approaches that are crucial to successful communication. It also emphasizes that frequent practice is also essential to improving communication skills.
