TWO HOUSES FOR RUNAWAYS AND A HOME FOR GIRLS ARE VIEWED FROM THE INSIDE, AND A NIGHT PATROL OF THE NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT'S RUNAWAY UNIT ILLUSTRATES THE DIFFICULTIES OF POLICE INVOLVEMENT WITH RUNAWAYS. INFORMATION IS ALSO PROVIDED ON ORGANIZATIONS THAT HANDLE RUNAWAY PROBLEMS, SUCH AS OPERATION PEACE OF MIND AND THE NATIONAL RUNAWAY SWITCHBOARD. THE BOOK IS INTENDED FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
