This directory describes youth-serving agencies and community mediation agencies interested in initiating or continuing joint work in youth mediation programs and profiles program models in mediation and conflict resolution for children, youth, and families.
Abstract
The directory lists programs by State, based on a questionnaire survey of more than 700 mediation agencies and 800 youth services agencies throughout the country. The directory lists the more than 460 agencies and programs that returned questionnaires. The information for each agency includes an agency profile, names of key staff, numbers of staff and volunteers, general services, types of mediation programs, collaborative relationships, and interest in future program development. Also included for each State are the State offices for youth services and juvenile justice system contacts. An introduction describes mediation models such as peer mediation programs, conflict resolution curricula, truancy mediation, parent-child mediation, gang mediation, victim-offender mediation, and child welfare mediation. List of national organizations, discussion of funding sources, and index
