Federal Trade Commission (FTC)

Identity Theft Help Mobile App
The Office for Victims of Crime-funded Identity Theft Resource Center mobile app is meant to help victims and potential victims of identity theft, provide consumers with information on how to protect themselves, and educate the public about identity-theft-related issues.

Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3)
The mission of IC3 is to provide the public with a reliable and convenient reporting mechanism to submit information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation concerning suspected internet-facilitated criminal activity and to develop effective alliances with law enforcement and industry partners.

Law Enforcement Cyber Center (LECC)
With funding support from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, LECC is designed to assist police chiefs, sheriffs, commanders, patrol officers, digital forensic investigators, detectives, and prosecutors who are investigating and preventing crimes that involve technology.

National Institute of Justice (NIJ)
NIJ—the research, development and evaluation agency of the U.S. Department of Justice—is dedicated to improving knowledge and understanding of crime and justice issues through science. The NIJ website provides access to NIJ research on the impact computers and other electronic devices have on crime.

National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA)
NTIA is the President's principal adviser on telecommunications and information policy issues, and in this role frequently works with other Executive Branch agencies to develop and present the Administration's position on these issues. Information on internet safety policies are featured on the NTIA site.

National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C)
NW3C provides a nationwide support system for law enforcement and regulatory agencies tasked with the prevention, investigation and prosecution of economic and high-tech crime.

Stop.Think.Connect
The Stop.Think.Connect. campaign is aimed at increasing the understanding of cyber threats and empowering Americans to be safer and more secure online.

Technology Safety & Privacy: A Toolkit for Survivors
This toolkit contains safety tips, information, and privacy strategies for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trafficking related to the use of technology. With support from the Office for Victims of Crime, the toolkit was produced by the National Network to End Domestic Violence's Safety Net Project which develops resources and information on the use of technology for survivors and the agencies that support them.

U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (U.S. CERT)
Established in 2003 by the Department of Homeland Security to protect the nation's internet infrastructure, US-CERT coordinates defense against and responses to cyber attacks across the nation. US-CERT also provides a way for citizens, businesses, and other institutions to communicate and coordinate directly with the United States government about cyber security.

This website provides information on all forms of internet crime for law enforcement agencies, policymakers, and the public. Included on this site is information about how to report computer/internet-related crimes.
