This online issue of OJJDP News @ A Glance contains five primary articles dealing with the U.S. Department of Justice juvenile justice and delinquency prevention efforts.
Abstract
The first article discusses the testimony of the OJJDP Administrator Robert Listenbee before the Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee in support of reauthorization of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act. The second article provides information on the School Discipline Consensus Report that is now available from the Council of State Governments Justice Center. The third article discusses the final public hearing of the Task Force on American Indian and Alaska Native Children Exposed to Violence that was held in Alaska in June. The fourth article presents information on three "Smart on Juvenile Justice" solicitations recently released by OJJDP for fiscal year 2014. The fifth article highlights activities by the U.S. Department of Justice to commemorate National Missing Children's Day. Additional sections in the newsletter include a listing of new publications and news briefs.
