ARGUMENT THAT A CALIFORNIA ADULT AUTHORITY RESOLUTION GIVES THE MEMBERS POWER TO DEFINE CRIMES AND PRESCRIBE PUNISHMENTS WITHOUT TRIAL FOR THOSE GUILTY OF COMMITTING CERTAIN NON-CRIMINAL ACTS.
Abstract
THE ARTICLE FURTHER ARGUES THAT THE RESOLUTION ALSO PERMITS THE ADULT AUTHORITY TO DEPRIVE PAROLEES OF THEIR LIBERTY AND PROPERTY WITHOUT DUE PROCESS OF LAW AND IN VIOLATION OF THE FOURTEENTH AMENDMENT TO THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
