Abstract
A PUBLIC EMPLOYEE'S CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS AS INTERPRETED BY THE SUPREME COURT ALLOW AT LEAST SOME FORM OF REGULATION AND/OR INVESTIGATION BY THE GOVERNMENT OF THEIR PERSONAL LIFESTYLES IN RESPECT TO PERSONAL APPEARANCE, RESIDENCE, FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS, POLITICKING, HOMOSEXUALITY, AND PERSONAL ASSOCIATIONS. THE COURT IS ALSO RELUCTANT TO REVIEW EMPLOYER'S PROCEDURE AND REASONS FOR THE DISMISSAL OF A POLICE OFFICER.
