BJA launches VALOR: the Preventing Violence Against Law Enforcement and Ensuring Officer Resilience and Survivability program. The initiative has trained tens of thousands of law enforcement professionals on how to remain safe during violent encounters.

The Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training, or ALERRT, program, administered by Texas State University in partnership with BJA and the FBI, has trained more than 130,000 on how to respond to active-shooter situations.
